Who We Are

WORD SPINNER'S INK (Inkies) Fiction Writers. We are a world-wide 17-year-old group of professional, mostly-published, fiction and poetry writers with good connections to publishers and the writing world. Membership is free and open to published and non-published writers. Published writers are admitted automatically. Unpublished writers may submit a very brief writing sample.

Membership includes access to our private web site, a group of private discussion lists corresponding to areas of special interests, and our online writer's workshop.

What We Do

We exchange ideas, review and critique each other's works, and support each other in an atmosphere conducive to the writer's life. Most of the members have written  short stories, poems, screenplays, or novels for many years, yet we welcome new writers who possess talent, determination, and a good command of the basic writing skills.

WSI Excellence in Fiction and Poetry Awards

We give the WSI Excellence in Fiction and Poetry Awards to fiction and poetry ezines, other online periodicals, and  web-linked, low-circulation print periodicals that we find comparable to the highest quality print periodicals. We encourage our members and the general public to support these periodicals by subscribing to them, submitting manuscripts to them, and by promoting them on web sites. WSI ePress

We will soon be making available to the public our  eCatalog of members' fiction and poetry works. We're publishing  InkSpin, a webzine of fiction. InkSpin is open for submissions of manuscripts.
